Notes from the press box

I write the page I would want to read before betting.

I studied sports journalism at the University of Brighton and started out as a freelance sports writer, filing match reports and features wherever there was a game worth covering.

From there I moved inside the industry as a content analyst for a UK sports betting operator. That job taught me how odds, offers and terms are actually put together, and where the small print tends to hide.

I have now spent nine years writing about online casinos. At Casino.org I review casinos and write sports betting content for UK readers, with one aim: tell people plainly what they are signing up for.

Five-a-side, five times a week

When I'm not writing, I'm usually on a five-a-side pitch somewhere in Brighton, five nights a week if the knees allow.

Low and slow

The rest of my spare time goes on the barbecue: low and slow, with far more patience than I ever show in midfield.
